ALVE Add-on Unit Backboard Problem

The add-on unit for computer desk ... I successfully put everything together, and put on the back and made it flush with the top and bottom. Then many steps later I found that I was suppose to leave a 1/4" overhang in order to put the screws in that secure the desk with the hutch part. This was never indicated, and the picture certainly did not show that. I have many many nails in already, and it's on top of the desk. So now what do I do?

Re: ALVE Add-on Unit Backboard Problem

You can use a few small (1" x 1") "L" brackets, screwed into the uprights of the hutch unit and then into the desk top, or a couple of small metal "straps (~1/2" x 3"), screwed into the back of the uprights and then into the back edge of the desk top. These hardware bits would be available from your local hardware or big box tool store.
