Sniglar (Snarka) sheets?

Hello,

I'll post in the Introduction thread later this morning when we get back from church. But I wanted to post this question now, just in case the right answer is about to leave for the day.

Anyway, we bought a Snigler toddler bed for my daughter. We really like it and she appears to as well (she's 2 1/2). The problem we face though is finding sheets for it, even at Ikea!

The mattress measures 27.5" x 63" (70mm x 160mm). We discovered that standard US toddler beds are 27.5" x 52". I tried poking around on some European department stores (could use some suggestions here as well), because it would appear that based on the website, Ikea only sells sheets for the 52" crib size, then straight up to Twin.

Any help would be most appreciated, because the next step is for the wife to break out the sewing machine and finding a pattern. She's not very happy with that prospect I should add.

Thanks for any insights you all can offer. Cheers! Great board!

Re: Sniglar (Snarka) sheets?

Welcome, Don!

IKEA carries sheets in both 28"x52" as well as 28"x63"... the product name is "LEN" and are usually stocked amongst the textiles in the Children's Department (if not with the toddler bedding, maybe in the crib/cot bedding.) The offerings are not terribly extensive -- like with the adult bedding, the sheets tend to be plain and a solid color.

...perhaps that was helpful, perhaps not.
