THERMOSFAR light system

I purchased a Thermosfar light system and want to convert it from a hard-wire to a plug-in system. The product description says this is possible, but I have no experience with electrical wiring.
Has anyone done this with this particular lighting system? How difficult is the process and should it be done by a professional.
Any help would be appreciated.
