The Galant desk series has a steel underframe, of which the legs bolt up to that. Without this underframe, the legs won't work.
The Vika Amon is fine for what it is (an affordable top), but understand that it's honeycomb (hollow) construction means it's not as resistant to impacts and other mishaps.
I would stick with the Galant series completely. To save money, check in your local store's AS-IS section to see if they have any there. Sometimes, the tops get drastically marked down because the package was damaged or there's a ding on the corner.
