I was planning on buying this but before I left Ikea i forgot to measure this.
It says here the Length is 47" wide..is that the whole unit, or just half of it.

From my window to my wall, there is a 41 1/2 inch space. I was wondering if I put the corner workstation in the corner, will it block my window? Can someone measure the Mikael Corner Workstation from the Center(where it touches the corner of the wall) to one of the ends?

I had a hard time explaning this, if someone understands what i'm saying and can describe it better, please do so .

The 47" measurement is the back edge of both sides of the desk - it is essentially a 47" square with a corner cut away. If you put the desk in your room as you proposed, you will block the window.
