Help Needed for Tromso Bed!

I tried looking through the forums for a similar thread, but couldn't find one, but here is my situation. I was putting together my Tromso twin bed the other day, and I got to the part where you have to slide the top part of the bunk with the bottom base part. Unfortunately though, one of the sides doesn't push in completely. Right now it is stuck and when I take a closer look at it, it looks as if it is cracking under the pressure I have been putting on it to make it go down. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do? If not is there a way to get these parts replaced?

Thank You!

Re: Help Needed for Tromso Bed!

Without pictures or a better description of the problem, it's hard to give you specific hints as to your next step.

But it sounds as if you might want to loosen the 4 posts that run vertically from the lower to the upper bed, so that there is (literally) some wiggle room in those posts, and that may help. I would then try removing (slowly) the upper bunk, using a rubber mallet as a "persuader". If yo uare able to do this, try some soap on the tops of the posts to make the connection go a little easier the second time around.

As for replacing the parts, I would go to your local store and explain what happened - be SURE to bring your receipt!!!!! Depending on what their policy is, they might just replace the cracked pieces.
