In Europe, at least, there is a fortune to be made by anyone producing washers and dryers that are 56cm (22.5")wide instead of 60cm (24"), thus fitting into FAKTUM cabinets.

(Looking at other posts and seeing no other occurences of "Faktum", I apologize if this makes no sense; 90% of the kitchens are called Faktum here: Hallarum Faktum, Applad Faktum, Abstrakt Faktum, etc. - Faktum is just the name for the modular units - do they have a name in the USA ?)

Until that day comes, here is my problem: I have made a custom bathroom in FAKTUM ABSTRAKT NOIR including a 24" W x 72" H FAKTUM armoire/column in which I intended to put my stacked washer and dryer. Alas, the machines are exactly the width of the cabinet (due to the walls they do not fit in). Any suggestions on how to make this work? It seems that the widest door is 24"...just like my machines.:?:?

	W definition W is a wall cabinet designation, as in W18, can be a stand-in for Wide, or when followed by a / stands for With.

	H definition H can be a stand-in for Height or when followed by *** can have an entirely different meaning.

Welcome to the forums! From what I understand, Faktum in Europe is to Akurum in North America . The cabinet boxes or carcasses are the Akurum line, and then the doors have the same names as the lines in Europe...Hallarum, Abstrakt, etc.

I'm not sure how you'd go about solving your problem since the Abstrakt is that high gloss finish which I don't think is likely to take well to adjustment. Even if you could widen your cabinet box slightly to accomodate the washer/dryer, you'd have a gap where the door didn't quite reach. Does IKEA market appliances there, as they do here in the US and Canada ? Do they haveanything that will fit in your box? I'm sure you've already checked into this....

Let me think on this one and maybe someone smarter than me will come along with a solution in the meantime. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
