I thought I was so smart about 1 1/2 years ago when they were discontinuing the 3 drawer narrow unit. I bought a package of (off)whitedrawer fronts and the drawer boxes for future use. In that way,when I was ready to add another 17 1/2" wide tower to the ones I already have in my dining room to hold silverware and place mats I would have the drawers. I just now looked at the 2007 catalogue and the Effective printed paper I picked up a couple weeks ago....and the narrow unit is no longer shown. Anyone know if they are still in stock at any store in So Calif.? I need two off white boxes and an aluminumbase. Any help would be appreciated. I will be driving into So. Cal on Sunday. The dumb thing too is I will have to buy two doors as they come only in pairs now, when I will only need one for beneath the drawer unit. That is, of course, if I can even get the two narrow frames and baseI need.

Bummer! I hope you find one somewhere. But if you can't, would the Avsikt rollfront work? I think that's just a bit less than 18 inches wide.

I went to Burbank on Saturday. The Ikean told me that they had been discontinued for about 6 months. How did I not notice? He told me he had looked at the other So. CAl. stores and none had any. Wah!

I need the exterior "box", not a front. I have the drawer fronts and drawers already. The Ikean suggested I check Ebay or Craig's list. Worth a shot.

Do you need the 17x17 or the 17x34 boxes? I might have a couple of each. I'll check my garage tonight!

I need the 17 X 17 box in white (off white). If you have one...or perhaps two... I will buy them off of you.

The Ikean and I figured out that I could take a 34" base, the one with the straignt aluminumlegs,and cut it down in width.So I could do OK with just the box(es)
