Ikea EFFEKTIV desk "leg mounter" part?

Hi!
I'm missing two of these thingys (don't know what they're called since I don't have the manual). They're from a discontinued Effektiv desk, which is similar to the current Galant, but this kind of leg construction (frames with one leg in each corner) has been discontinued in IKEA desks.

Does anyone have the manual for this desk and could be so kind to look up the model no for me?
Or does anyone have two of these left over willing to sell?

Here is where it goes.... (a picture from another manual, but where the model no is not available)

Sorry about the image quality, but I have no real camera... only an old web cam...

Thankful for replies ! =)

Cheers!

Hi Caktusaurus (now I'm wondering if you are into felines or succulents. LOL)!

Welcome to the Forums.

A couple of suggestions.
Do you live near an IKEA? If so, you might be able to get some of your missing hardware in the Customer Service/Returns area. Often times they have a hidden stash that is - well - hidden and not really advertised.

I'm not sure, but the manual might be in the http://www.ikeafans.com/forums/ikea-instructions/

Does anyone out there know what these parts are?

Thanks for the reply!.... one step closer to the mystery part....

Hi climber_grrl! Thank you for such a quick and kind reply Actually, I'm not into either of those, the name is just the result of bad brainstorming...

Actually, I wen't to my nearest IKEA store and visited the Customer Service/Returns area earlier today (before I wrote the first message) and the salesperson went to look in the "stash" but didn't find any. She said that I had to get the part number also, because she didn't know the part very well. Therefore I went to the IKEA work section and tried to find a desk that had this part on it (and then ask the personal for the manual with the part number), but the T- and A-style legs they're selling now isn't constructed like this. And sadly, there are neither EFFEKTIV nor GALANT instructions on this website

Lastly, I probably should describe a little bit more where the part belongs (I was in a bit of a rush when I wrote the original post).

Oh and by bottom I mean't to say underside... (I'm swedish by the way, see the irony? )

The wooden board of the desk sits on top of metal rails (crossbars), that are screwed to it to form a rectangle. In each of the four corners (where the ends of the rails meet) there should be a bolt going through a hole that is cut-out in the ends of the rails - from the leg on the outside and to the inside where it's fastened with one of these mysterious parts (that hinges onto holes in the rails) and then a nut on top of it. Now, nuts and bolts I can always get a hold of, but this... this is tougher...

Thanks for all the help so far.... hope someone can help me further on this!

Cheers!

I'm going to move this to the Home & Office forum.

Maybe someone there can help unravel this mystery.

Yes, thanks to the help from Chuck here at IKEAFANS, who was kind enough to send me the parts by mail half across the world.

Thanks to this I've been able to assemble the desk and it's working beautifully as the center of my workplace.

Many thanks to Chuck and the posters in this thread!

Hope you find what you're looking for. =)
