Trofast -- labels that will stick well and look good?

We did our children's playroom with *lots* of Trofast. The problem is that the drawers are not labeled, so we are having problems with them pulling out all of the drawers to look for things, etc.

I had the idea of going online and getting photos made of their favorite toys and then ordering prints. I plan to use the prints as visual labels of the toys within each Trofast.

But I am not experienced with Trofast and I am not sure what sorts of adhesives will protect the photos from falling off. I also want to write the word on some sort of labels.

I did a search of the archives, but I was not able to find that information in your archives. Surely someone has already done this and has some experience with this? I want the labels to look nice and stay on easily.

Thank you for your help.

PS: I can't tell if it is possible that I am in the wrong forum altogether, since most of this website appears dedicated to kitchens. If I am on the wrong track, please let me know where to go. Thank you.

Re: Trofast -- labels that will stick well and look good?

Hey there -

We have the Expedit bookcase with the Lekman boxes in our family room/playroom. We did the same thing. I just used these Avery labels, printed out pictures of the kids' toys or generic pics of what was supposed to go in each box and affixed the label to the box. I thought I had a closer picture of it but here's a pic of it in our old house in the lower right-hand corner of the picture.

I really like the Ptouch labelers by Brother. The tape is insanely expensive but it lasts a long time. Several different typestyles to use, and the labels are waterproof and stick really well. I used a couple on my coffee pots and creamers for when we have people over and even after several dishwasher runs they are still firmly stuck and completely legible!
