What's the old saying? Pick two.

I was thinking of using Gorm in a walk in pantry. Has anyone done this? The Ikea website says it holds 110 pounds per shelf. I'm not sure if it is that strong. Any comments would sure be appreciated.

I haven't used Gorm. Still haven't used Ivar yet, either.

Yes folks, she's still alive! And her kitchen still isn't done! I'll post and update with pictures soon, as I have some design questions for y'all.

As for the living room storage, I really like the new pre-stained black Ivar components. I also have an idea for creating fabric panel doors that will conceal toys and look great. Now, it's all about finding the time to do it all!

We recently recieved Ivar in black. It actually looks quite nice.

Ivar is, according to me, a far better choice than Gorm. Gorm tends to feel more like something you should out in your garge.

Or if you want somethine even cheaper. Fjus is really cheap and could be an alternative to Ivar.

Would something like this work? It's one of my fave pictures on Flickr. It's three TUNHEM bookcases.

Re: Living Room Storage

i just want to pop back in and say that finally, two and a half years and one move later, we've finally bought a wall's worth of ivar shelves. i'll post pics when it's done. it's no longer going to be next to a stat kitchen, as we've sadly left that kitchen behind for someone else to enjoy.

i think we'll paint them before we put them up, so it will be a while.
