I haven't been able to figure out why IKEA chose to replace the Jerker workstation with Fredrik, which doesn't seem to be as rock-solid as the earlier item had been.

Does anyone have ideas about what the best substitute workstation might be? [I'm open to assembling from doors and leg sets meant for other purposes, but I'd really like to have attached shelves and the ability to bolt on [or use heavy duty magnets] to hold tools or other light objects.

there are a lot of Jerker workstations on craigslist, they pop up at least once every two weeks.

Definitely craigslist. I've seen 2 just the other week on the LA freebie section, even.
