IKEA's Global Clamping Work Lamp

Hello! I just bought a GLOBAL lamp from IKEA and while it's on, it makes a high pitched buzzing noise. When I turn the lamp on, it also flickers a lot before it actually turns on.

Anyone else experience this? Can I fix this problem by buying higher quality bulbs? Or is it the electrical components that are causing this?

Re: IKEA's Global Clamping Work Lamp

Hi and welcome to IKEAFANS, Stanley!

I don't have experience with this lamp, but hopefully we'll give you a bump and someone will be along to assist.

FYI, I consolidated your other post on this subject.

Welcome- we're glad to have you!

Re: IKEA's Global Clamping Work Lamp

Unless the power outlet is really "noisy", it may be the ballast, which is built in.

Try a different outlet. If it's still the same, return and get a new one.
