Our blitz trip to IKEA to get the Mysinge ended with getting the new Karlstad sofa (the directions are in the slipcover box, btw) instead. Turns out Mysinge is now a special order item...which does not bode well for poor Mysinge! We wanted one more so that when we have large groups we can pull the two others out from the guest room and have lots of matching seating...but the Karlstad will play nicely with the Mysinges, so all is good. We got the Korndal green because we like the cool retro vibe, and we're considering getting a set of Korndal Brown as well. The slipcovers on all cushions are zippered and easily removed, but to get the rest of the covers off you will probably have to dismantle the sofa. They velcro on, but I haven't tried velcro-ing OFF yet...I'm waiting for an emergency that requires it, since it seems daunting.

Eva! That looks so lovely! You've got such a great eye, nobody I know has a house so planned out that you can use furniture in multiple rooms and it all works! But, I have to tell you, it's getting easier to walk through IKEA and call out everything Eva has in her house...
It's all about hospitality...we're always thinking of how to accomodate larger groups, smaller groups, people with kids, elderly people, etc. We want everyone to be as comfortable as possible, and we have a tiny house (just over 1000 SF!) so everything we buy needs to multipurpose until it cries.
I'm still working on the kids, though... we didn't actually purchase them...
That looks great! I love the green, and of course I'm feeling like I need this for my living room now Did you take away the little red sofa, or was that in a different room?
LOL! I'm sure your kids double as seating. Both of mine are climbing, beating, jumping, and I think, eating off each other. That's my guess on some of the stains.
Eva - your new couch looks teriffic in the room ... I really like the change from the purple swoopy sofa. I agree w/ Kelly ... it's teriffic to be able to coordinate across the rooms and bring the additional furniture to make people comfortable when you've got a crowd.
