I'm not sure what you accomplish by taking apart the file drawers, but the file frame/drawer front assembly can be removed from the add-on unit by lifting the frame up when it is fully extended - it's similar to the way kitchen drawers are removed from their runners. You may want to spread the retaining clips in the four corners of the frame, using a slotted screw driver. But don't do this to much, or they'll lose their retention properties.
Once you've removed that assembly, use the Allen key to remove the four screws that hold the file from to the two mounting brackets on the back of the drawer front.
Are you also thinking about dis-assembling the add-on units themselves?
