Nice looking new range of furniture for children's rooms. Kid friendly pastel shades in a flexible modular range of storage options. I love the cutouts instead of handles, it's like a kid focused Besta! Where was this stuff when we were outfitting Elizabeth 's room?!

Anyway, what do the rest of you think of it? Anyone else seen it yet?

Saw bits of it at East Palo Alto last week.

I like it. I like it better than the other one (the red/blue one? can't remember name right now)

The lines are nicer. The drawer fronts are solid, with smooth rounded-over edges and roundey corners. REALLY nice to handle (unlike the flimsy-feeling moulded plastic fronts)

Colors are bright & saturated, cheerful. Not pastel (sorry, pastel really is "washed out" looking. Bit of a color-nazi here)

The series should be a good seller. It's very "fresh" looking. I like it a lot.

Finally, a furniture series that isn't dark brown!

I liked what I saw when it first went in. No need for it now, but if it had come out earlier...yeah, we might have bought some!

I like it alot. I particularly like the idea of giving kids a kid-sized place to store their clothing. I forgot to include the hanging rods and inside baskets in the video, but that's a big part of the appeal for me. Too bad there's no room for it here!

my only negative thought was... Why no soft- close drawers and doors? I didn't look at the hinges closely to see if the rationell drawer dampers would fit.
It seems like a good way to prevent squished little fingers. The empty units at ikea TC were a little quick to slam shut. Maybe it's just because they're empty?

wrutrix - I agree. The drawers close somewhat softly, but they can be slammed. I'll see if I can figure out if a damper will work on our next trip to the store...

Went to Ikea last week and was not aware that the trofast line was discontinued. Ended up coming home with the stuva wardrobe in stead of the trofast one. It's a nice smart unit. Doesn't match the rest of my son's room but it is nice and solid.
