The single most useful insight? The instructions for the domsjo sink cabinet construction are in the SINK box, not the CABINET box.

Very beautiful - I really like the counters with the cabinets. Which door style and counter did you use? How did you finish the counters?

Thank you. They are Ramsjo red-brown cabinets. Counters are Lagan finished with cherry stain and Helmsman polyurethane.

Beautiful! Seeing your kitchen helps me with the idea of leaving the boxes white with the glass doors, my mind has been fighting that. It looks very nice.

I see the wood counter top is cut at a 45 in the corner. Even though that is not advised we are considering doing it too. Do you have any advice on that either way?

I did not know that 45 degree angles were not recommended. Ours are great. Our install was done by Amish trim carpenters who we knew to be highly skilled at cutting angles (they did most of the trim work in our house). I wouldn't have tried to cut the angle myself. The Lagan is so pretty it would look great either way.

I originally thought that the lagan would be temporary until we put in granite but I must say I have grown quite fond of it. The wood is warmer, softer in appearance and always looks clean unlike the granite we had in our last house.
