Thanks for the very interesting points above. Ikea fans seem to be a very intelligent subset. I’m impressed.

I don’t have any Ikea products currently but am building my own house and hence my own kitchen too. The Ikea kitchen sounds like an interesting concept!

I have severe chemical sensitivities and so the whole house I am building is being built VOC-free (as much as possible, and this includes glues, adhesives and caulks etc) and non-toxic. It has been fun designing these elements into the plans, but pretty challenging also. I was interested to hear that the Ikea particle board is non-formaldehyde, but would be curious to see just how healthy it really is. Anyone know the details on this?

I’m thinking to buy my kitchen cabinets and appliances while kitchen special offer is going.
I tried the demo on the web site and I noticed that I will get 10% discount for my entire kitchen purchase,
as long as the tolal price of kitchen cabinets and appliances becomes $2500 or more,
and I will get more discount if I buy 2 appliances (15% off) or 3 appliances(20% off) on the top.

The site says ‘Buy an IKEA kitchen (minimum $2500) and SAVE 10% on your entire kitchen purchase!*’

So, I’m not sure if Appliances can be also included to the minimum $2500…

I followed the procedure IkeaFan set forth, but I’m still getting the same download screen and no start button. Has anyone else gotten it to work in the last couple of days?

I’ve put the plug-in the Internet plug in folder — that’s all that the installer tells me to do — is there another step that I’m missing?

glad you got it working ikeafan, it’s still a bit rough oround the edges for the macs but at least me an do something. Can anyone tell me if you can rotate wall cabinets with this planner and if so how?

Thanks for giving us the proper procedure, but it still doesn’t work, no start button appears, just the same download button. Any word when a working version will be launched in the states ?

Usually i just skim through these blogs and only read ones that -jump- out at me so I can get new ideas for designs and stuff and yours did just that. Thanks for it – it is actually a real good read! Do you have a subcribe area so I can link to it to read again another day? Let me know – thanks.
