I’ve been looking hi & lo for this little treasure too!!! Just sent an email to Ikea Customer Service of my local Ikea (Emeryville, CA, US) begging them to bring it back. As of today (1/25) they still don’t have it. But thanks to this page, at least I know Ikea is making it again! Glimmer of hope on the horizon…

So OK, no longer Fira, turned into a Moppe but what’s in a name, right ?!?

Hm… thought I’d be clever and see what “new” and “outdoor” items the Australian ikea website had… some limited outdoor offerings and the same “new” items on the USA website (that’s been featured for weeks already). Wonder if there’s a glut of new products oncoming?

i miss the entire line of FIRA and have been trolling the web to buy a used or new 2 drawer desk organizer which was made to hold 8.5×11 paper. I need one more to complete a kitchen project. The 6 drawer FIRA that was discontinued is my sewing storage for thread & notions – it is wonderful.

Please bring back this product in all it’s configurations – everything at IKEA is a pain to build, but with a little effort & only a little frustration the end result is well worth it!! Speaking of… the Alex flat files (I have 2 stacked) are very time consuming to build, no kidding, it took me 6 hours to assemble them by myself, but they are SO beautiful, affordable and useful that it was totally worth the time spent.

I look forward to the return of all the unfinished desk acessories – FIRA or MOPPE!!
