Off the top of my head, there are a few locations in Canada (e.g. Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa) which have roughly one million people in the city and maybe a few hundred thousand more people within 60 miles, but which still have Ikea locations. Maybe Canada is an anomaly? Any readers from outside Canada/U.S. with statistics for their country? I’m not sure how often the “two million people” requirement applies to other countries. The Ikea kitchen sounds like an interesting concept! I have severe chemical sensitivities and so the whole house I am building is being built VOC-free (as much as possible, and this includes glues, adhesives and caulks etc) and non-toxic. It has been fun designing these elements into the plans, but pretty challenging also. I was interested to hear that the Ikea particle board is non-formaldehyde, but would be curious to see just how healthy it really is. Anyone know the details on this?
