Wondering if you can DIY an IKEA Kitchen all by yourself? You’re not alone!

Many have wondered the same thing, and we here at IKEAFANS have reassured them that yes, you can do it yourself. On good authority! Assuming some basic DIY skills and a few simple tools, plus a plan, some time and a certain amount of determination and willingness to think outside the box, yes…you can!

Check out some of these IKEA Fans forum threads addressing the DIY issue for more information:

Should we forget the hired installer and just do this ourselves?

IKEA Service Directory: IKEA Assemblers and IKEA Installers

If you’re still not sure of your abilities, or you simply don’t have the time, interest or wherewithall (we won’t care, I PROMISE!), check out our IKEA installers in the IKEA service directory. Many of these mom and pop, local installer and assembler shops have been de-listed with IKEA as they move towards an (ill-advised in our opinion) single vendor model. Just because they tell you there’s only one option for assembly and/or install doesn’t mean it’s true!  Give a local installer a chance! Check out their reputation and authority right here on IKEAFANS!
