Help the co-workers at IKEA West Sacramento to provide a needed makeover to the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary’s classroom and pathways. “We’re asking residents and Zoo lovers to text LIFE76 to 62345 once each day through Jan. 20,” says Zoo Manager Jocelyn Smeltzer. “Spread the word to your friends, co-workers, classmates and family through email, texting, blogging, Facebook, Twitter and Yelp.”
And through IKEAFANS too, eh?
IKEA Co-Workers Work to Help Folsom Zoo Sanctuary
The Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary, operating in the heart of the City of Folsom since 1963, has been the home to hundreds of animals from ’squirrels and deer to tigers and bears’.
Together with Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary staff, co-workers at IKEA West Sacramento submitted a proposal to makeover the Sanctuary’s Log Cabin Classroom, and to provide interactive signage on Zoo Sanctuary pathways. The Zoo Sanctuary is among three contestants selected by IKEA West Sac to compete for the $10,000 and they need your help to win!
“If the Zoo Sanctuary wins the IKEA Challenge Contest, we’ll be able to expand our Zoo Camp and Ambassador programs” says Jocelyn Smeltzer, Zoo Director. “The one-of-a-kind, sculpted signage is especially exciting, allowing visitors to learn in different, tactile ways. All your friends will want to take their pictures in front of our colorful, hand-sculptured signage.”
