Huge congrats to IKEAFANS member ikitchensetc, owner of iKitchens, Etc. on winning the 2013 COTY award for the NorthEast region for this gorgeous LIDINGO White IKEA Kitchen. Read on for the project description, more photos, and how to see more of iKitchen’s work!

2013 Coty Award-Winning IKEA Kitchen by iKitchens, etc.

Although there were a number of challenges to this project, a good design and a commitment to communication helped us provide a quality final result within a very strict budget.  This project represents a growing trend in the kitchen remodeling industry where customers are looking for the best value for their money and may be willing to contribute a little sweat-equity and savvy shopping to help meet thebudget.  The homeowner also valued the insight and skills that a quality design/build remodeler brought to the project.

Want your own iKitchens IKEA Kitchen?

Located in Falmouth, Massachussetts, Rich has been a contributing member here at IKEAFANS since February 5, 2007 – six years ago tomorrow, btw! Lucky us. Rich is around periodically to provide advice and assistance to members in planning their own IKEA Kitchens or resolving problems with assembly or installation, but his real love is designing and installing functional, practical and beautiful IKEA kitchens. Simple.

I love the stack of 1 foot wall cabinets. What a great idea to provide storage yet not encroach on the walkway! The hanging cabinets used as a sideboard are also a great idea. I’ll go to the site and see if there is a photograph of the cooking area. Beautiful job! Kudos to you!

I jjust purchased those same cabinets and ordered the Atlantic salt quartz countertop as well from Ikea. Cabinets are sitting in boxes in my living room. Just waiting on a floor choice to decide on. Not sure if I want wood or ceramic. There is a lot of traffic by front entry and thru kitchen not sure if engineered wood would hold up. The countertop is that the Atlantic salt quartz? If so are you happy with what you chose. It looks great on the white cabinet display at store I just hope it looks fine in my house.

Its difficult to understand the complete design without seeing where the range is, there are no photos including the range / cooktop / oven so it is difficult to understand the workflow of the kitchen. Based on my understanding of color combinations the blue walls work nicely with the white cabinets but seem to clash with the red tones in the floor and the countertop. Personally I would have gone with a sage green for the walls. White appliances may also have been my personal choice for this kitchen.
