Tuesday, July 21st, 2009 by Susan

biggest-ikea-fan-contest-300x250Contest deadline extended through July 25th!

Get on the IKEA Guest list for the launch of the 2010 IKEA product line!

We’ve had quite a few emails from people telling us that they couldn’t make the deadline for the contest for one reason or other so we’ve decided to EXTEND the DEADLINE!  You now have until July 25th to enter to win a chance to an unforgettable experience in NYC with IKEAFANS.com staff as we preview the IKEA product range for 2010 at the launch event!

All you have to do to enter is tell us why YOU are the BIGGEST IKEA Fan!  All you have to do to win is convince US that you are the BIGGEST IKEA Fan! Check out all the gory contest details here and then go ENTER TO WIN!

And thanks to all the kind words we’ve heard, including this quote from IKEA Fans member Meridian:

I have to say we love your site and Ikea has served us well!

Awwww!  Sweet!  Thanks!

Are you the Biggest IKEA Fan? Enter to win invite to IKEA 2010 Catalog Launch + Prizes!

Thursday, July 16th, 2009 by Susan

biggest-ikea-fan-contest-300x276

Are you the Biggest IKEA Fan? Do you live in or around the NYC area or can you travel on short notice?  You could win an invite to the 2010 IKEA Catalog Launch, dinner with IKEAFans.com staff and a gift valued at $100 from IKEA!  (We’re also working on getting other IKEA swag as prizes (maybe IKEA Gift Cards!), so stay tuned!)

All YOU have to do is convince US that YOU are the Biggest IKEA Fan!

  • Do you have the most extreme IKEA home?
  • Have you gone to great lengths (or distances!) to get IKEA in your home?
  • Maybe you have an IKEA showroom-worthy home?
  • Are you the world’s most accomplished IKEA hacker?

You have to move quick, though!   Entries must be received no later than July 21st. You can submit a video (upload first to YouTube, then link in thread), or your story in words and pictures as testimony to your undying love of the big blue box!

ENTER TO WIN HERE!

We’ll judge entries based on quality and content first (so make it good!) and then on public opinion and IKEAFANS.com staff votes.  Your friends and family will be able to boost your chances of winning by tweeting and retweeting on Twitter, Digging it, Buzzing it up on Yahoo Buzz, linking to your entry on Facebook, linking to your entry from their own blog or website, and/or posting a reply to your entry.  Read more about it on the Announcement Thread in the forums: Enter to Win BIGGEST IKEA Fan Contest.  Final decision will be made by IKEAFANS Staff.

Rules:

1. Must be a registered IKEAFANS.com community forums member.  Register here.

2. Must be 21 or over to win (we’ll be going out to dinner and drinks on the 27th!)

3. Must be available to attend events in NYC on July 27th in the evening and July 28th from 11am -2pm.

4. Must be able to provide own transportation to and from NYC and lodging if applicable to attend event. We will not be able to provide accomodations or reimbursement for the trip expenses. But we’ll buy you dinner!

Additional Legal Stuff:

Due to the legal issues surrounding contests we have to have the following text in order to avoid nasty legal problems:

“All contest entries become the property of IKEAFANS.com, and IKEAFANS.com may use any of the entries for any purpose whatsoever, without further compensation to the entrant.”

We at IKEAFANS are big believers in the spirit of the law as well as the letter though, and we will be quite willing to work with anyone that has a legitimate request or concern. We’re reasonable people, let us know if you have a problem and we’ll work with you . See Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy for a basic understanding of how we do things. The short version is: We’re real people and we do our level best to protect our member’s privacy and treat them as we would our local friends and family.
