Ohhh, the smell of cinnamon rolls! The wafting aroma of IKEA coffee – FREE coffee, even if you get there before 10am. And who doesn’t get there early for the 99 cent breakfast in the IKEA restaurant? Swedish meatballs and cream sauce* with lingonberry preserves (Did you know you can BUY Lingonberry Preserves ONLINE?) on the side, smoked salmon aka Gravad Lax, and those yummy double chocolate cookies, also known as chokladflarn – dubbla chokladflarn to be precise.
But egads! The calories add up! One minute you think you’re having a healthy shrimp salad sandwich, and next thing you know you’re staring at a pile of mayonnaise and hard-boiled eggs! What gives?
We wanted to know more about the food at IKEA – calories, fat, carbs, protein. The usual stuff. We also wanted to know just what IS a serving size of one of those cinnamon buns?
