1840 Farmhouse Kitchen

Wednesday, December 5th, 2012 by A of K

Yes, it’s IKEA! With a lot of clever planning, a few modifications and a gorgeous slate to work with, IKEAFANS member Brickman House has put together a fantabulous IKEA kitchen. A combination of LIDINGO white and TIDAHOLM black brown coupled with NUMERAR countertops (died with India Ink on the perimeter) creates a showcase kitchen in this 19th century farmhouse. IKEA and Scherr's Custom Doors – A White Shaker Kitchen

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008 by Tigratrus

Score one for the traditionalists! ┬áThis gorgeous kitchen by OptionKitchen is done in the Shaker style with doors from Scherr’s Cabinet and Doors and stock cabinet frames and drawers from IKEA.

We were going for a white shaker style kitchen with Soapstone countertops. We purchased all the frames and drawers from Ikea and ordered our doors and drawer fronts from Scherr’s and to save some money we painted them ourselves. The door latches are from Restoration Hardware and the pulls are from Pottery Barn. And beleive it or not, we purchased ALL our appliances on Ebay, and we saved thousands. We had the countertops “cut to size” and we installed them ourselves, which also saved us a lot.

We had a budget and we stuck to it, with a lot of patience we found what we wanted at bargain prices. I hope you enjoy our kitchen!
