I just love this room, don’t you? The obvious attention to being kid-friendly and fun, the mix and match of dining furniture, the window and light floor that, along with the white oak dining table, give such a relaxed light and airy feel to the room. Sigh…bliss.

What you may not notice is the special feature this table offers which makes it easy to invite someone (ahem, like say…me) over for dinner.

TRANETORP Extendable Dining Table

What an awesome feature. This white oak* dining table pulls out to accept a leaf which extends the 4 1/2′ table to over 6 1/2′ long – big enough for 6! The extra leaf stores underneath the table so it’s easy to pull it open to accommodate extra guests at the dinner table or spontaneous art projects. When the leaf is not in, there’s no seam to distract but even when the table is fully extended, it’s not that noticeable (see right).

*Well, it’s white oak veneer over particleboard, but then that’s why it’s only $339 for a table to seat up to six!
