Stories and helpful information from those who have been there...

Read what kmcg has to say: "The Ikea pullout pantries are a fantastic addition to any kitchen, but can also be challenging to install. Here are some things I learned along the way." Read the rest

Read what
maconiteasy has to say: "Draft orders. Hind sight is 20/20, but I sure wish I'd seen one of these before ordering. I "proofed" my order at the store not really realizing what I was looking at or what I should have been looking for. Ignorance is not bliss..." Read the rest

Read what ctaylors6 has to say: I apologize in advance for this being long and for anything that's been said before on the Ikea threads. I didn't think about the fact that I would need 31 inches of space to allow for 2 cover panels on the ends of the cabinets that touch. Yikes. Contractor noticed this though, and we worked out a fix.... If you have a peninsula and are getting a cover panel for the back, think about how you want the grain to run. My peninsula back is 3x7 so I ordered the 3x8 cover panel and thought that would be perfect. Well, the 3x8 panel has the grain running up and down longways, so if turned to fit the back of the peninsula, the grain goes horizontally while..." Read the rest
